I don’t like withdrawing a post after readers have already commented, but I published one at the weekend that was too personal and emotional. Regretfully, I’ve pulled it: ironic because its topic was regret. So for now, I want to thank Kathleen and Pauline for those sympathetic and helpful comments. Equilibrium is restored and another post will follow before long.

Opinions and emotions. Personal!
Now you make me curious...
You'll have to say more than that, May, if you want to draw me out!
Not sure of your point, Siegfried. Too personal is too personal, and I haven't seen you reveal too much on your own blog!
Vincent, sometimes these things are best unleashed and released when written. I still haven't decided if there is more power in writing them or speaking them... but there is power still the same. I hope you are able to make the personal and internal amends you (obviously) so deeply desire.
As trite as this may sound, life is what it is. We can never undo what's been done, but only move forward in retrospect and make each day (hopefully) positively equivocal in the converse our particular past misgivings. At least this is what I convince myself... perhaps as a result of my spiritual seeking, or perhaps more appropriately as a result of simply experiencing this moment called "life."
lol... I apparently misunderstood the meaning of "equivocal," as I believed it corresponded with a similar meaning as "equivalent."
Please forgive my misuse of the English language, and understand I meant to say that our actions in moving forward should essentially cancel out or even outweigh past perceived missteps -- not that we should positively deceive ourselves simply into believing we have transcended such.
Thanks, Tim. Just to warn you & any other commenters that I will be pulling this post too. Have some commitments till end of January. No time to unleash and release here. What about you? Silence over at your place, unless my google reader has failed to register.
Nothing personal!
What you think is what matters.
Vincent, yes... I have been somewhat silent. Other activities have kept me from typing. I'll make efforts to amplify (as I did today) the content so as to make up for the lack of consistency.
nothing wrong in withdrawing a post.
Sometimes we feel like having expressed more than what we actually wanted.
Great that it is possible to revert it atleast here if not offline while interacting with other people.
After all it's a personal thing.
The world is full of apologists .. heh.
Anyhow, I have finally reinstated the post that I pulled. See "Me and the Kenyan Mau Mau" January 11th.
